Studying at the University of Applied Sciences Münster

The University of Applied Sciences Münster, with its approximately 10,000 students and 15 faculties/central research institutions, is one of the biggest institutions of its kind in Germany. It combines academic and scientific knowledge and applies this in the working world.

In comparison with most other universities, the University of Applied Sciences Münster is rather a small university. Students have the opportunity to personally interact with lecturers. Lecturers and staff members optimally take care of the students during their exchange period in Münster.

The faculty of Business Administration stands out due to the high quality standard in sciences and its internationality. During the semester abroad, projects, presentations and group work will foster a close cooperation between national and international students. Besides, foreign lecturers and international seminars support the extension of student's intercultural competencies.

Münster - An attractive place of study

With its 296,500 strong population including around 50,000 students, Münster boasts one of the highest "student densities" in Germany.

Münster is a multi-faceted city, which is located in the Germany's biggest state "Nordrhein Westfalen", close to the Nederlands. "The World's Most Liveable City" (LivCom-Award 2004) counts nearly 150 nationalities and is therefore highly multicultural. It is a city of science and learning, the City of the Westphalian Peace and the capital city of bicycles. Münster offers various opportunities for shopping and nightlife. Moreover, the city holds famous places of interest such as the cathedral and the "Peace Hall" within the historic Town Hall. Münster's "Aasee" invites visitors and citizens to jogging, sailing and other leisure time activities.
