Student Exchange/ Intercambio de estudiantes / échange d'étudiants

A crucial element of IMS is its compulsory student exchange. Students from Münster obtain a compulsory semester abroad at one of our worldwide partner universities. MSB intends to maintain its partnerships for long years and provides many of its exchange places free of charge. Some of them offer the opportunity for a double degree.

Vice-e-versa, exchange students coming from our worldwide partners enrich the programme´s intercultural student mix. The whole programme can be studied in English - thus students coming from partner universities mix with students from Münster in first year´s courses.
Please note that incoming exchange students need to provide proof of their English skills on a B2 level with their application. After students have been nominated by their home university for a semester as an exchange student at MSB, they need to formally apply as exchange students and will receive further instructions by our central international office.

Student exchange is supported by MSB´s international office (OfIS). All students are introduced through various events and a buddy programme that add to the programme's international atmosphere. Students from our partner universities receive personal support during their whole stay in Germany.

International Content

IMS aims at preparing students for managerial marketing and sales positions in an international environment. Besides from its marketing- & sales-related content, it trains scientific methods of global validity as well as leadership and intercultural competences in modules such as "Intercultural Management", "International Marketing", or "International Sales".

Foreign Business Language Education

The programme can be studied entirely in English, which adds to its global spirit. Few elective courses are offered in German. If the students would want to attend those courses an advanced knowledge of the German language would be required. The module "Academic Writing & Business Ethics" is offered in three languages: English, Spanish and French. The students decide in which language they want to study this module (an advanced language level is required for each language).

Experienced Faculty

At MSB, we value experience and competence. Our professors have on average six years of business experience before professorship. Usually, they come from leadership positions or were deployed as specialists in a relevant business area. They share their practical experience always combined with a profound international & scientific perspective. This recipe ensures up-to-date and high-quality lectures educating for a global mindset.
