Münster (February 29th 2016). Münster Business School, the faculty of Business Administration at Münster University of Applied Sciences are offering refugees with appropriate previous knowledge in business the opportunity to participate in Business courses. In particular, we would like to open our increasing offer of courses in English language to refugees", Prof. Dr. Dirk Kiso, dean at the faculty of Business Administration explains. "This way we can provide opportunities to study individual courses at short notice."
In general, refugees will need to wait a long time for their recognition of entitlement to asylum. "It makes sense to use this time to further their education, for them to be integrated into life at the university and to socialize", Martina Ratermann, Director of the Office for International Studies at the faculty of Business Administration believes. This would also be an enrichment for German students: "We want to increase our internationalism and realize that potentially many of the refugees are interested in studying and would benefit from an uncomplicated way to participate in individual Business courses."
At Münster Business School the following courses in English language are offered: Basic Financial Principles of Corporate Management, Intercultural Management, Logistics, Financial Reporting, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Organisation and Information Management, Process Management, Strategic and International Management and Business English.
Anyone interested may contact Ms Ratermann, Director of the Office for International Studies via email at ratermannfh-muensterde or phone at 0251 83 65659.
Any refugee interested in studying something other than Business Administration should contact the Student Counselling and Information Centre for more information. Münster University of Applied Sciences, also offers consultation hours on Mondays from 10.00 to 12.00 hrs. Link: https://en.fh-muenster.de/studium/fluechtlinge/index.php?p=1
