International students often find it difficult to get their bearings in Germany. In addition to the well-known language problems, the cultural differences between the various countries also play an important part.
In this workshop, typically German behaviour patterns will be revealed and explained. The aim of the workshop is to sharpen participants’ intercultural competencies. The theory is conveyed in combination with interactive exercises. In this way, intercultural misunderstandings can be reduced, and participants learn to cope more effectively with the phenomenon of culture shock.
In this workshop
- you will discover how situations are grasped differently
- you will analyse examples of situations in which intercultural misunderstandings arise
- you will become acquainted with strategic measures to deal with these misunderstandings
- you will deal with the phenomenon of culture shock
in addition to many other aspects.
The workshop will be led by Kerstin Brünenberg and Irmgard Hellmann of Ethnologie in Schule und Erwachsenenbildung (ESE) e.V. (Anthropology in School and Adult Education).
Each participant will receive a certificate.

In diesem Workshop erhalten Sie eine Orientierung, die Ihnen hilft, zügig die richtigen Unterlagen in englischer Sprache zu erstellen. Es gibt einschlägige Tipps zu den Unterschieden der Bewerbungsverfahren und zur Vorbereitung auf ein Telefoninterview oder ein Vorstellungsgespräch.
Alle Teilnehmer erhalten eine Teilnahmebescheinigung. Bitte melden Sie sich verbindlich ab dem 16.04.2014 über PLUSPUNKT (unten stehender Link) an. Anmeldeschluss ist der 06.05.2014. Die Teilnahme ist kostenlos. Die Teilnehmerzahl ist begrenzt.
